Monterey Weather
Like many California coastal towns,
Monterey has spectacular weather year round. Spring and
fall are clear and sunny, and the summer months bring
romantic morning fog that encases the landscape, burning
off to clear skies in the afternoons. Winter ushers in a
welcome average rainfall of 17 inches per year.
Evenings are cooler, and sweatshirts or a lightweight
top layer are recommended for outdoor activities as it
can cool off quickly once the sun goes down.
