The location was perfect for walking to the Wharf, Cannery Row & nice restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We plan on staying again!
Right in the middle of everything. They offered contactless check in which was so quick and easy to do. Every hotel should have this. Staff was super nice and helpful.
This hotel is located in a perfect location, with plenty of amazing restaurants within a very short walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable . The decor is warm and charming. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff is welcoming and friendly . We stayed 4 nights and will definitely be back.
Excellent in every way: location, value, personnel, room, decor, and on and on. TIP: Ask for a Historical Room -- the victorian furnishings, fireplace, and attention to detail are wonderful -- plus if you're lucky, you can get an ocean view!
We have stayed many, many times at the Monterey Hotel and plan to stay there many more. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean, the beds are very comfortable, the location is quiet and yet located downtown with a large number of excellent food choices nearby. I love being able to walk to the beach and the running paths as well as to the piers. The staff is very nice and very accommodating, and the off-season prices are very good. Monterey is a very nice place and the Monterey Hotel is our first choice to stay.
Cool little hotel right in the middle of downtown Monterey. It is reasonably priced and has some cool history! Walking distance from many restaurants, bars, shopping, and Old Fisherman's Wharf.
