The location was perfect for walking to the Wharf, Cannery Row, and great restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We plan on staying again.
This hotel is located in a perfect spot, with plenty of amazing restaurants within a very short walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, the décor warm and charming, and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We stayed four nights and will definitely be back.
We have stayed many times at The Monterey Hotel and plan to stay many more. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the location is quiet yet right downtown with excellent dining nearby. I love being able to walk to the beach, running paths, and piers. The staff is kind and accommodating, and the off-season prices are very good. Monterey is a wonderful place, and The Monterey Hotel is always our first choice.
Right in the middle of everything. They offered contactless check-in, which was quick and easy. Every hotel should have this. The staff was super nice and helpful.
Excellent in every way: location, value, personnel, room, décor, and more. Tip: Ask for a Historical Room. The Victorian furnishings, fireplace, and attention to detail are wonderful, and if you are lucky, you may even get an ocean view.
Cool little hotel right in the middle of downtown Monterey. Reasonably priced with great history. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping, and Old Fisherman’s Wharf.
